It'll be interesting to see how they do this. I still remember how people were all up in arms over Kodomo no Jikan.

Well, as long as the head of ANN doesn't try and get this banned (like how he got KnJ's release pulled), I think it'll be fine.

But really unlike KnJ, there's nothing actually pedophilic about Strike Witches. Yeah, the girls are young (age ranges from 12-19) but there's no actual mention of sex at all. It's merely the suggestiveness that puts off some anime fans which I think they need to stop thinking that moe is the ruin of the anime industry when in fact it has been what is keeping it going.

Funny at NYCC, I spoke with someone from Funimation if they'd want to license Strike Witches and he said that he was more into Sky Girls. I kinda knew that SW would come here given that it sold quite well in Japan and also that Funimation tends to release most of anything Gonzo which now they partnered up with> I can only wonder how in the world they plan to release Dragonaut, a show that bombed in Japan and was the laughing stock in the U.S.

Quen from Sankaku here, I liked your Cherri comment in my bestiality figure post that I clicked your URL, VZ ^^

Oddly enough, I was also at the last NYCC, but only for a few hours a day as anime is a bit off the focus of that convention.

Good to see Strike Witches receiving Int'l releases, in any case.

Hi Quen. Glad you stopped by my blog to comment.

Yeah, glad to see SW getting an R1 release by next year. i hope Funi doesn't fuck it up. I don't like how on Negima!? (that's the one labeled as second season but really it's the one done by studio SHAFT), they decided
to cram 13 episodes worth of content on two discs. Yeah, I know that shelf space for anime is at a premium but to sacrifice quality in the name of getting things cheaper is not good.

I plan to buy at least two copies.

According to ANN, Funimation says that the DVD will be uncensored.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT!
